IXL Learning is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Localization Editor with expertise in Canadian English language conventions and culture to review content and suggest necessary adaptations for the Canadian edition of their product.

Requirements

BA/BS degree in a relevant field
Prior experience in an editing role
Impeccable knowledge of Canadian English linguistic conventions
Superior writing and editing skills, with exceptional attention to detail
Familiarity working with style manuals and guides (e.g., The Chicago Manual of Style)
Strong understanding of Canadian culture and customs
Understanding of K–12 students’ reading and knowledge levels
Strong communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines and be efficient and organized while managing a queue of assignments
Proficiency in Google Docs and Google Sheets
Experience or interest in the Canadian education system is a plus
Experience or background in math, science, or English language arts is a plus
